Day 5 - Relaxing Day & Day 6 - Animal Kingdom

Day 5 we slept in a bit.  None of my children complained about that.

Saige, Tayler and Jaden headed off to Hollywood Studios.
Poor Saige had to head to work for the day after so kindly getting these two in on her pass.

Tayler likes Disney food + treats even more than me. ;)
She should be a Disney food blogger.

There goes Jaden sleeping again.

The rest of us spent time at the Resort Pool

Kenna mastered the FlowRider.

It wasn't easy.
She went again and again and again.
She started on the knee board.

And had lots and lots of times that looked like this.
But she finally mastered a 360... EVERY PERSON there cheered when she finally got it.

Then she learned to surf.
Papa you would have been proud!

Her instructors were super good to her.

After 1.5 hours of that, she was SO sore and even MORE sore the next day.
Nice job Kenna!
So proud of you for giving it your all!

We all headed over to explore some Disney Resorts later that day.

Animal Kingdom Lodge & Art of Animation

Photography by Lydia...

The detail and awesomeness in all of the Disney Resorts is incredible.

This is Lydia's "help someone! I'm falling!" face.

My girls were not into Joe and his catching of frogs.
But Saige... has a phobia.
I can feel her fear as she describes finding geckos in her apartment here in Florida. haha

The next day was our second day at Animal Kingdom.
Sadly we had to say goodbye to Joe and Lisa who had a flight out that day.

Gosh they are fun to travel with.
They make everything more light-hearted and fun.
We missed them for the next two days.

I don't know about the rest of my family but I was getting pretty tired by this day.
Although we weren't going to miss a minute of those "expensive tickets"!
GO GO GO

We got up early again... did the same thing as the first day getting on Pandora.
Although we'd done almost everything in this park, it was fun to have Tayler and Jaden with us this day.  And we had plenty of things we were happy to do again!

We got well into the building in the Pandora ride and ALMOST to the front of the line when Lydia let us know she needed to poop.
uhhh... none of us were getting out of that line.

I'm not sure she enjoyed that ride much... cuz she was in a bad way.
Her little eyes were welling up with tears... and fear.
All's well... Saige mad dashed with her out of there as soon as it was over and she made it!

Photography by Lydia again...

She's not bad...
She's even getting the focus down.
Go Lydia!

We had a great time exploring all day.

Expedition Everest was still a hit.

Jaden slept through it all again...

Saige... bahaha

And "Dinosaur" was still scary...
hahahaha

Honestly Kenna...
are you ACTUALLY crying??!!

Jadyn is still trying to... "go to her happy place and pretend nothing is going on around her."

At least boy Jaden was awake.... ;)

Lydia makes an awfully cute Moana.

It was a great day together as a family.

If we didn't already have a Christmas card photo, this one would have worked.

No one had strong opinions of where we should eat and we'd heard that the Santu'li Canteen was good so we gave it a try.

Definitely not a favorite of ours.
Although a picture like this is what got me to go there in the first place.
It looks better than it tastes haha.
(This is one place I won't be eating at this week when I visit Saige.)

However, we had a sweet cast-member bring us cupcakes just because.

Our Saige is a cast-member like that.
She brightens guests days all the time!
I love to hear her stories.
(kiss, kiss Saige)

We found more friends...

Scrooge McDuck

 + Chip and Dale

We had decided to call it an early afternoon since we'd done everything that we wanted to do.

Then we wandered around a little too long until I had a freak out about these nice ice cream cones pictured below that no one got me.
I was tired and hangry and just plain pissy.
I'm leaving that here as a mommy honesty moment.
Sorry fam.
(Insert big embarrassed eyes)
But if mama ain't happy ain't nobody happy!
And mama needed a nap.

All and all a super good day.

And really only one freak out in 6 days of Disney parks... which is equivalent to over 60 hours, 130,000 + steps and over 60 MILES of WALKING... isn't that bad. ;)
hahahahaha
