Hogle Zoo...

Lately I've been feeling some sort of urgency.
It's probably me thinking about the whole "graduating" experience this year + some stupid commercial that kept coming on Pandora all summer, something about how you have 18 summers to spend with your kids so make the most of them.

Then I'd start crying a little cuz like my 18 summers are almost up with Tayler...
Stupid ad!!!

It's working out well for the kids though, I've been trying to pack it all in.
They're even getting a Disneyland trip out of it in November so I think they like my sentimental, togetherness ideas.

And actually it's made me think about how we've done TONS of stuff with the older kids.  And lots of times I think, "we've already done that", but most things not with Lydia.  And I can't do that because her 18 summers will be up before we know it too....  GRRRR

One of those things is Hogle Zoo.  She was 6 months last time we went.
AND this was our first trip to any park like place without a stroller in 17 years!
It was pretty nice!

We are all concerned with where we will be putting all our "stuff" at Disneyland without a stroller though????

We had a super fun day together.

You know what I think when I look at this picture???
How happy my children must be that they didn't get my skin tone. :)
(Sorry Saige you are more like me than the others...)

Sometimes Lydia is crackup...

And sometimes she's just a drama queen.
Something about her bandaid falling off... I don't know.

Awww... nice kitty.
Except probably not, it has that same innocent look as my childhood cat that made me scared of all cats.  I bet this one would stalk me and then chase me up the stairs biting my heels too...  Just sayin'

Thank you random photographer... she almost forget the little one at the bottom. hahaha

This was funny, they got down here for a picture and this leopard or cheetah?? was pacing back and forth.  Then it just stopped... and posed!  We had a good laugh!

Twas' a good day at the Zoo!

Don't worry about Lydia. She'll be the "spoiled" baby of the family who benefits from parents who are too burnt out to enforce curfews and the like :) Just ask her uncles Andy and Jeff :)
