Chip on your shoulder...

Sometimes phrases are wasted on the young...

they just don't get it...

take this for example...

Me...  totally grumpy and frustrated this afternoon with the teen/pre-teen attitude going on...

We sit down to lunch, I look at my two oldest girls and very seriously say.

"Guys, we've got to talk because you have a freakin' chip on your shoulder."

and....

...........

.....they both slowly turned and very seriously looked at their left shoulder...

and then their right...

And... I tried VERY hard to keep a straight face, but the three of us ended up laughing til' we cried while I told them that I was still mad.

It definitely lightened the mood for a minute...
