Time flies when you are having fun, and fun we have been having...
Besides 3 girls celebrating their birthdays...
Our July looked a little something like this...
(warning * this will be a LONG post, July was busy!)
Lydia started nursery...
and she LOVES IT!!
When I ask her during the closing song if she wants to go to Nursery, it's all I can do to hold her there during the prayer...
We had lots of fun on the 4th of July weekend...
A yummy scout breakfast...
Followed by ANOTHER breakfast at our neighbors across the street (we went for the socializing NOT more breakfast!)
There was fun watching fireworks from our favorite spot...
Then Tayler and Saige were off to Girls Camp @ Heber Valley Campgournd...
Shane tagged along for the 3rd year in a row as a priesthood leader, and he vows to go for the next 17 years that our girls will be in YW's. He loves it... they treat him right, feed him good, have activities planned... and he doesn't care if he EVER goes to scout camp again! :)
While they were gone...
Kenna got her ears pierced.
I think it looked like child abuse due to the screaming/crying...
I felt like people were looking at me the same way I look at people who pierce their babies ears...
I swear she wanted them done!
Then there was the lunch that we had at Shelby's with our "far-away friend" Gina and her darling family. Shelby and I were fighting over her brand new baby girl Isla! I'm so sad that we don't get to see her more often, and Melanie... totally missed you!!
We enjoyed hot summer days on the waterslide...
Saige got glasses... and then later in the month contacts...
And in between the glasses/contacts she had a sleepover with sisters/Tara out on the tramp and was bit by SOMETHING on her eye and lip...
And amazingly it only got worse from here...
she ended up with a high fever and felt crappy as could be... the Dr. thought it might have something to do with a bite, more likely a sinus infection... whatever it was, she looked a lot less "quasimoto" like after a dose or two of the antibiotics!
Tayler spent a week at EFY up at USU...
She loved it, and loved being with her bestie Kelsee all week!
There was no dance classes to drive to in July...
My girls wished they had done "summer dance", me not so much!
Tayler did teach private lessons to 2 cute girls though, and will continue through the year!
There were swim lessons for Kenna and Jadyn...
Baseball finished up...
There was lots of Gymnastics lessons for all girls except Lydia :)
Kenna has them beat though... she is on team... and is a flipper, she has 3 hour long practices 3 days a week and THEN spends about 2 hours on the trampoline flipping every day! Go Kenna!
There were sleepovers in one of the sisters' rooms...
EVERY.SINGLE.NIGHT
usually between these 2 hooligans, and usually in the same bed so it looks like they are going to fall off. They do sometimes...
There was camping in the backyard...
And a heated game of "Pretty Pretty Princess"...
Shane's favorite. :)
(I don't think he is drinking that bottle... but maybe??)
There were nights of neighborhood night games...
Barbeques,
Fun @ Willow Park...
An entire relaxing week @ Bear Lake. Shane joined us for the weekend. Kim and kids came up Saturday and Tayler had a couple friends up for a few days, (Sadly Shelby and family didn't get to come due to rain. :{) But it was so enjoyable... I scrapbooked every spare second and wait for it...
finished...
80 pages!!
Woot Woot!
There was a 4-wheeling excursion to see Old Ephraim's Grave.
It was a LONG, BUMPY ride, and the girls were NOT impressed with the monument.
Kenna said, "What was so special about this bear anyway?" And
Saige, "We came all this way to get a picture and then turn around and leave again?"
We remined them that, "The joy was in the Journey!" :) There would have been more joy if I had remembered snacks... oops.
(We left Lydia home, she wouldn't have appreciated the Journey!)
There was plenty of cotton-candy made in my new COTTON CANDY MACHINE!!
Heaven I tell ya!!
There was the 24th of July Pancake Breakfast and Parade... in which Kenna and Jadyn rode on the city float again.
...and Lydia, she is dangerous, no fear AT ALL, swimming pools aren't restfull at ALL with Lydi around she is in out of this one, off to the other one etc. She's tiring!
We had a totally scary experience one afternoon up @ Bear Lake.
I was taking a nap :)
the girls were watching Lydia.
And she walked down the stairs and out the front door that wasn't completly closed.
We have NO idea how long she was out there, but SO luckily she stayed right by our condo. Apparently a lady saw her alone and was watching her, finally after what the lady called "quite a long time" she knocked on our door to see if she belonged there!
So So So Scary!!
What if she had gone anywhere away from our door...
How would we have found her?
And how long before we would have noticed she was missing!
You can be assured that door remained bolted the rest of the time we were there...

(Notice Saige's eye 36 hours after the bite! The next day she could barely open both eyes!)

But then of all things that made my girls squeal this month...
It was the sound of an ice cream trucking coming down our street for the 1st time in 5 years... One might have thought it was a fire alarm for as fast as my girls ran "to get their own money".
Hope your July was as much fun!

Wow! Your July was very busy, but looks so fun. It makes me love the summertime for all the great traditions and time you get to spend with family just hanging out.
Wowser. No wonder you were taking a nap at Bear Lake. :) Saige's eye saga was interesting. Is it all gone? Hope so. See you soon.
I think that photo with the glow sticks and the funny faces is my fave. Good luck to everyone who is starting school this week!
