Park City July 2019

This summer will always be remembered as a "traveling summer".
We were gone a lot.
The main reason was that we had 2 timeshare weeks that were going to go to waste.
So we might as well use them "or lose them".
Obviously we decided on Park City because it was close, so some could come and go.

We stayed at Marriott Mountainside.
It's beautiful, set right next to Park City Ski Resort.

We left after church on July 21st.
Me, Kenna, Jadyn and Lydia.
We had lots of fun stuff planned.

We had purchased the "get out Utah pass" so we wanted to use some of the offers down that way.  One was for Cowabunga Bay in Draper.

It was a hot, hot day!
104 degrees to be exact, so the water felt great.
We stayed for a few hours, and had fun together.

We spent the rest of the day shopping at Fashion Place Mall.

The next day, Tuesday, we woke up at 5:30 am to drive Kenna back to Logan to prepare for her GC cheer "kids camp"...
Obviously this was not in our plans when we took the timeshare exchange.
But... the new cheer coaches don't seem to care if they schedule things on short notice and then call them mandatory. hahaha

They had the clinic that morning.
Lydia loved it and was glad that she didn't have to miss it.

We stayed over in Logan that night.

Headed to the North Logan Pancake Breakfast on the 24th.

I think My mom and dad were happy to be there.
but I can't be sure from this picture...
;););););););)

We were then off to the North Logan parade.
The cheer Kids Camp was performing during the parade.

After the parade we headed back to Park City.
After a LONG stop at Farmington Station for more shopping + more shopping @ the Park City Outlets that night.
We got ALL of their school shopping done this week.

It's so fun to see their different personalities when they shop.

I could sum it up like this.

Jadyn {and Saige}...
doesn't like to spend much of my $.
She thinks more about what she'll really use.
And doesn't find that much that she likes.

Kenna & Lydia {and Tayler}...
Don't mind spend my $...
They'll take everything that they can get me to buy.
They can find something in every store that they love.
I mean EVERY store.

I set a "budget" this year.
With plenty in the budget to get what they "want".
Jadyn didn't quite get to the amount I had said.
Kenna went over...
And Lydia, I don't even think she wanted everything that she got...
but she was going to use every cent of that budget!!  hahaha

The next day was Jadyn's 13th Birthday!
How did that happen?
A teenager already... ahhhhhh

One of her birthday wishes was do to Baptisms.
Baptisms in the Provo City Center Temple.
When we went on our Temple trip last summer there was a 3 hour wait at that Temple... and we didn't wait.

So we drove to Provo.
Lydia and I dropped those 2 off at the Temple.

Meanwhile Lydi and I went to "Fat Cats".
We bowled a round.

She was pretty proud that she beat me.
(I think I would have beat her if I'd been using the bumpers too. ;))

Then used our Virtual Reality round on that pass I mentioned earlier.
We had a good time together!

After picking Kenna and Jadyn up...
We had lunch at Malawi's Pizza in Provo, it was yummy!

Then went to "Provo Beach".
No it's not a beach.
More like a super nice "Fun Park', there is a flowrider, bowling, arcade etc etc.

The four of us played laser tag.
None of us had done it before and we had a blast!!

We were all going to do this ropes course.
But Lydia was the only one who had closed toed shoes.
(Actually they were her new school shoes that were out in the car, but they worked!)
She had a good time, and I THINK wished we could have gone to??

It was still Jadyn's Birthday so we grabbed some yummy treats...

headed back to Park City and started on our 24 hour pass for all of the Park City stuff.

This zipline...

A couple rides on the Alpine Slide...

And the Mountain Coaster...

We were tuckered out from all of our playing that day.

We headed back to the room.
Jadyn opened her presents.

And we had a "spa night" with our lip masks... while watching TV.

Jadyn's Birthday was one to remember!

The next morning we headed back out for fun at the Park City Resort.

Another ride on the Alpine Slide...

AFTER sitting here forever because of about 5 drips of rain.

We spent a LONG time in line to ride the Mountain Coaster again.
It rained pretty hard and then they shut it down for about an hour.
But we were glad we waited!

The kids did the climbing wall.

And the kids zipline for Lydia.

And then it really rained!!
We lucked out with our day passes because they gave us $ back because of the weather.
But we'd already done everything that we wanted to do anyway!

Later that afternoon, more fun at the pool.

Saige and Shane came up that night for the weekend.

The next day Tayler and Jaden came for the day.
We explored downtown Park City.

had a yummy lunch and spent more time at the pool.

Sunday we packed out of the resort and headed to church.
Except... the website had the wrong address so we drove around for a while before we got there half way through the meeting. grrrrr

We stopped at the Olympic Park on the way out.
We didn't pay to go watch the team do their arial show...
but we did sneak in with them for a picture.
So when the Olympics come around we can check to see who made it!  haha

It was a great week.

There is never a shortage of things to explore and do around Park City!
