Tomorrow we will be one month into school.
Wow that is crazy.
Everyone is adjusting.
I'm missing my carefree summer days.
It's different, I have SOME of the day ALL to myself.
(and I've made a list of projects and spaces to clean out in my house that will keep me busy until next year...)
But when the kids get out of school you'll find me in my second home...
the good old mini-van. hahaha
School starts early at our house.
Saige is a Junior.
She opted for early morning seminary.
Actually that was mainly her mother who decided that.
I realize the value of concurrent enrollment.
Tayler had enough credits to start as a sophomore at USU.
She did pass her AP STATS test, but the rest were all concurrent enrollment.
And at $5/credit...
compared to about $200/credit at USU...
well I wanted her to fit in an extra class, so we're trying out early morning seminary instead of taking it during the day.
It's going great for me.
I set my alarm for 5:10 make sure she is awake then go back to sleep until she wakes me up for prayers as she is running out the door.
I'm not sure she is enjoying the arrangement quite as much! :)
She was late the 1st day...
And was NOT impressed with this photo I took.
She wanted another one the next day but... she leaves REALLY early hahaha!
Lydia and I went to watch her cheer/dance in the opening assembly.
So excited that we get to watch her all year.
She's adorable!
My cute Kenna is in 7th grade.
She leaves for the bus at 6:40.
That's still too early for me :(
Our little Jadyn is in 4th grade.
She is loving her teacher Mrs. Pugh
She wanted Shane to take her the first day.
I couldn't figure out why until I realized she had asked him to take her for donuts first.
I missed walking her in. :(
She's a Greenville Dragon.
Glad Shane snapped me this pic!!
Tayler and Lydia well they weren't back in school yet.
That's our College girl and our Kindergarten girl.
It feels a little bit like Deja Vu sometimes!
We spent that day and most of the week, getting Tayler moved into her apartment at USU.
She made a big girl decision when we were off on our cruise.
Her name came up at the top of the list for the apartment she wanted.
She had 24 hours to decide if she should take it.
She finally got a hold of us in the final hours, but had pretty much decided she was going to do it.
She took her deposit and rent in and now she's moved out.
She lives with 5 girls who she had never met before.
I think it's working out well.
But, you wouldn't necessarily KNOW she's moved out...
She comes home everyday.
Even sleeps here most weekend nights.
And I'm just fine with that!
I even told her I'd do her laundry if she'd come visit me lots!
She has yet to go "grocery shopping".
Most of it she can find right here hahaha
Or there are plenty of guys willing to take her on dates... so that's a plus for her.:)
I still miss her like crazy... she just started a new job at the Logo Shop.
She's really enjoying that.
She's learning that college is serious business, and that she actually has to read those super expensive textbooks!
She has early classes.. yoga @ 6:30 Mon/Wed and 7:30 classes every other day.
Thanks for sending me your "first day of school" pic Tay!!
Lydia has been ready for Kindergarten... for A WHILE!
I wasn't really.
I took her for her assessment with her teacher Mrs. Martinez and found out that there were 18 in the afternoon class and 28 in the morning. So I switched her to afternoon. I've never had an afternoon Kindergartner before...
but I LOVE IT!!!
Everyone heads off to school and we get to snuggle and be lazy for a bit.
She has a job chart.
The first job on it is "snuggle mom".
When I first showed her the chart she said, "but mom that isn't a JOB!"
Yep Lydia for one more year it is!
She takes it seriously, she hasn't missed that snuggle with me one morning!!
If I'm already up when she gets up, well then we still have to fit the snuggle in so she can "check it off". :)

I tell her everyday how happy I am that she goes to afternoon Kindergarten!
She's a Greenville Dragon too.
I definitely teared up walking her in.
She just couldn't figure out why I NEEDED to walk her in when she KNEW where her class was!
She made me promise I would let her go by herself the next day!
Lydia loves school.
She especially loves that her cousin Trey is in her class with her.
The next day I got out of the car when I was dropping her off.
Just to take a video of her.
But she was super concerned.
She said, "Mom you promised I could do this myself remember?"
She's got this Kindergarten thing in the bag!!
