One of our "favorite" missionaries is back!!
Elder Josh Astle who served in the Mozambique Mission is back in the USA!!
And we were so excited to see him!
I felt bad because we didn't make it down to the airport :(
But we were waiting patiently on our street with the rest of our awesome neighbors and friends who were also anxious to see him...
we are oh so grateful for his service and example to all of us.
The poor guy was mobbed by his car for a full hour at least!!
But our family was lucky and got to spend the whole next day with him at Lagoon!
Not sure that is the first thing that he wanted to do after arriving in the US 15 hours before...
but he seemed to have a fun time. :)
So the girls and I (Shane was off working in the Portland Temple.) Deon and Collin, Kim and the girls, and Lisa, Josh and Tanner (who has been home from his mission for 1 week)...
spent the entire "toasty" day playing together. :)
Lydia took a minute to warm up to Josh...
But Jadyn wouldn't leave her big buddy's side... :)
While the big kids were off playing on all the crazy rides, Lydia and Jadyn enjoyed the slower versions.
But everyone thought this ride was pretty great...
To be honest... I don't really love Lagoon. It gives me a headache actually! And some how every year the girls get me to go on some crazy ride like Wicked, and they never fall for the excuse that "I've already done that."
But I love being with my favorite people at Lagoon.
And seeing the kids have o so much fun together.
And this year it was especially fun to have Josh with us!
Looking forward to next summer when we can have all 3 of our "favorite missionaries" there to entertain us!! O and maybe our husbands can make it next year too. :)
Seeing happy faces like this at 10 PM makes a day at Lagoon totally worth it!

I don't think I've ever met Josh, was he that tall before his mission?
