Couldn't you just eat that little thing up!! She is such a cutie and she looks so stinkin' little... but she went to her first day of PRESCHOOL today! I'm still not sure how I feel about that... I have always done a neighborhood group 2 years before school and then sent them somewhere for the year before school. But my great friend Shelby runs a preschool now... so I decided to send her and I was seriously sad! I went to lunch with Shane during it... and I really wished she was with us! She did good... wasn't too excited about going either though. She just kept asking me if I would stay with her. This look pretty much says to me, "Mother I know you are standing by the door because you are going to leave me here... so just leave already!"
She didn't have much to say about school. But when I asked her if she wanted to go back she said, "Nah, I had enough." Hmmmmm.... I guess we will see. :)
This morning I spent more time peeling and cutting peaches to freeze. Can you believe this little tree gave us around four bushels of delicious juicy peaches. We all love them!! I still have lots of bottled peaches from last year so I decided to try freezing them. I hope they are good that way... because I think I did about 24 quarts!!
Last night was so much fun. My good friend Gina was in town after a three year experience in Ireland... preceded by years in Kosovo... Baghdad... D.C. and who knows were else. She is hard to keep track of! But we were so excited to be able to get together for a BBQ at Shelb's house. With our group of four awesome friends and our families. Melanie, Shelby, Gina and me
We reminisced about our Middle School/High School days and had fun looking at old pictures and catching up. We also marveled at the 14 kids we had there with us... How times have changed.
I forgot my camera... and Shane... not too impressed with your camera phone quality. :) But it's all I've got!
Here we were back in the day...

We had one of those amazing friendships that I hope my girls find with their friends too! (O... Mel and Shelb it looks like you guys didn't get the message that is was black and white day this day!! hehehe)
It was a great night and we look forward to doing it again when our little "world traveler" friend is around!
...Speaking of back in the day... A lady called me last week looking for a LHS Cheerleading Outfit for her daughter to borrow. Apparently the girls are supposed to wear different years' outfits for the upcoming Homecoming Game. I informed her that I did drillteam not cheerleading... then I tried not to chuckle when she told me that she needed to find a "vintage" cheer outfit and she didn't know anybody else that might have one. Really...."vintage".... ?????? Somehow I have never thought of what I wore in the early 90's as being "vintage" definitely not the style I would wear now of course... but hopefully not "vintage" yet either! :)

Aaah, kids and preschool. Too cute! And the "vintage" photos are great too. Melanie is Hubby's boss. I'll have to tell him to check out your blog and see the vintage Melanie. :)
What a cute little girl! She was a great helper to dad when they came and measured for carpet. She didn't want much to do with us though! I died laughing at Shelby in the pictures. I will have to give her a hard time about that!
vintage, that is so funny. We got a new guy at work last week - who was born in the 90's! If I can rememeber the year, no one should be born in it!
janelle's little boy mason is also going to shelby's preschool. how fun for avi, jadyn and mason to be together. (how nice for janelle to see you and shelb a few times each week.) and how nice to see gina!
That is exactly how I remember the 4 of you! That is awesome you are all still friends... and 14 kids... wow!
hmmmm "vintage" that's funny... come on lady, it was only the 90's... :)
Is Melanie wearing my shirt? Or are you wearing my shirt? I remember when you guys did that photo and my clothes were involved..... Hmmm.... So has Jady gone back to school yet? My friend's little boy who just started 1st grade asked his mom if he could just go to school every other day. I think that sounds like a great idea!
