I think everyone pretty much feels the same as me... we just experienced the fastest Summer ever!! I can't believe it's time for the girls to go back to school... but they are off... and I miss them already!!
Tayler started 7th grade...
Saige... 5th Grade...
And Kenna... 1st Grade...
Kenna was ready to pose for several photos that morning... because she was loving those "clogs" that she just "HAD" to have! They were way cute... but not very practical for a 1st grader... I watched her roll her ankle 3 times while walking into school... and they didn't look nearly as cute with all the "playground dirt" on them when she got home! (and of course they hurt her feet too!) We'll see if she ever puts them on again!Jadyn stayed like this... in the hall... (a normal place to find her in the morning). While each of the girls got ready. Of course she woke up JUST before they left... and talked my ear off THE.ENTIRE.DAY... And told me all of the things that we get to play together now that her sisters are at school... I read LOTS of books that day!! What a cutie she is... but she makes me want to crash like this too!!
She was happy to see her sisters after school... and to go to her very first Dance class... I thought she was way cute... but we are up to 9 dance lessons PER WEEK now. The novelty has worn off a bit... and paying each month freaks me out (and would put Shane over the top if he knew how much it was.) Wouldn't you think that having a 4th child in dance would give you some sort of a discount?????Good thing they love it :)! On the bright side... we have dance shoes in EVERY size... so I only have to buy them for the oldest two (since their feet are pretty much the same size now). And we have enough leos and dance clothes around to outfit the whole class... Tayler and Saige did once again inform me after I had her ready... that it is "not cool" to have Jady wear her leo on the OUTSIDE of the bikers... Apparently they should go the other way??? Although a leo CAN go over tights... I am so confused!! Oh, and it is also "not cool" to wear a leo to dance (unless it is ballet day) after about age 9... who knew????
Tayler made both Kenna and Jadyn new "Dance bags" in about 1/2 an hour. So simple... we made ours out of two handkerchiefs... and got our idea from here.
Well that's it for today... but I'll be doing some back-blogging soon since somehow I missed a month in that "way too quick summer" we just had!!

Your girls are all so beautiful. I just don't know what I'd do with girls... Here's hoping we even things out by having 2 more boys! ;)
Fun back-to-school photos! This year we only remembered to get Nat's photo on the first day of school. I guess we're starting a tradition that once you're out of elementary school you don't have to have a first-day-of-school picture before leaving. I think Jared and Amanda were relieved we forgot. Sigh. And you're right. This was the fastest summer ever.
