Twilight...

OK, I haven't had a chance to post lately... Actually I haven't done much of anything for the past couple of days, except for reading a couple of great books! I started "New Moon" the second book in the Twilight series on Saturday and finished it and the 3rd book - Eclipse on Tuesday. That's right over 1200 pages in 4 days! I've told several people that I don't read much... this is why. When I start a book I use every spare second (and even those that aren't spare like sleep minutes) in order to finish it quick. They were great though! Saige made the greatest comment ever last night, she said, "I have a good one for you mom... it goes like this... I almost forgot what your face looked like you've had your nose in that book for so long." Sorry for my break from reality girls but... I'm back! (I will be taking a couple of days off again in August when the 4th book is released!)

The following is a the trailer for the upcoming "Twilight" movie in December. I hope the movie will do the book justice! (Push pause on the music bar first)

UPDATE - Tonight while talking to some friends of mine about this book I found out that one felt I was "nigh' unto a sleeze" for liking these books (not her exact quote of course, just how I felt.) But I liked them! I don't know what that says about me, and I am not advocating them to my young daughters, but thanks Mom for recommending them to me. (She liked them too... Like Mother, Like Daugher... I don't know what that says about you either mom!)

I liked the books too. Don't feel "nigh unto a sleaze." But I told Amanda she shouldn't read them until high school -- at the earliest. When she does read them we'll talk extensively about not steady dating, lust, and other topics teens love to discuss with their parents. Whee!

Your friend sounds like a real downer. I bet she didn't like Harry Potter, either.

I loved the Twilight series (I read them last year). Stephanie Meyer has a new book out right now called The Host. I'm waiting to read it on our trip to Cancun, but I bet it's awesome.
