June 2023

June started out with Dance Review Week.
(Our busiest week of the year)

And Saige celebrating her 24th birthday... which we celebrated a few days late on Sunday afternoon with a "crepe cake" Jadyn came up with.

The Tueller School of Dance - Review was another 3 night success.
It's weird that we are getting to the end of these for our girls.
It's been SOOO many years.
20 to be exact in the "big show" so it seems crazy to think we'll have 5 at the MOST left!
Not that I'm worried about NOT having dance reviews in my life, there WILL be others as Mia + more cute little granddaughters come along... but it will be different JUST watching with ZERO stress haha.

I love that my good friend Melanie is with me at all the dance practices/performances to chat with!!
She keeps me sane in our crazy "dance mom" world.

I'm so grateful for all the support these two girls are shown.
They are lovely dancers who put some much time and energy into improving each year!!

Not only was Dance Review week busy trying to fit a little Girls Camp in @ Heber Valley... but the following week was Kenna and Quincy's big day.  June 9th.  By this point everything was picked and only the day or two before the wedding was busily spent tying up last minute stuff.  So early one morning we drove down to the Saratoga Springs Temple open house. (me, Shane, Lydia, Jadyn, Tayler, Mia, Saige and Keaton)

It's a beautiful Temple...
Lydia and Jadyn are looking forward to getting back there to do baptisms!

After the open house Shane and Keaton headed back to Logan for work and the "girls" played for a bit.
We were using out Get Out Utah Pass, so we stopped at Fat Cats in Saratoga Springs to play mini-golf... but apparently there was a loop hole about that one.  So... we just let Mia run around climbing on all of the arcade games.  She was in HEAVEN.  It was hilarious!

Then we were off for lunch @ seven brothers

Then on to Splash Summit in Provo for a few hours.

The weekend after the wedding we used the "Get Out Pass" again and headed to Rexburg Idaho to Bear World.

The four of us made stops @ 2 Temples for baptisms on the way up.

Pocatello...

Then the Idaho Falls Temple

We then walked around a street fair in Idaho Falls for lunch and mini-donuts.

Before meeting up with these 5 @ Bear World.

We had a great time.
Mia loved riding with Nanny in the front seat through the "bear drive".
There were lots of them!!

Mia LOVED the little, slow train ride.
But was not as big of a fan of the little spinning rollercoaster

And she was ready to get off this Ferris wheel.
Actually all of us in the other car were ready to get off since they left us on for twice as long as this group. haha

But she REALLY was not excited about the new dinosaur park that is connected to Bear World that just opened up.

But she was a good sport about all of it really... she just MUCH preferred the train!!

After the family reunion we spent more time @ Bear Lake.
Lydia had a couple of her friends come up for a night... Zoey and Samantha.

It was Monday which happened to be Bingo Night. This was our very first experience at Ideal Beach Bingo... and Lydia won $50 on the first round!

That was pretty cool!!

These 3 did lots of Bear Lake stuff swimming, beach time, mini-golf, games etc.
But 11 am Tuesday came pretty quick.  We were heading home to take Lydia to dance + Jadyn was going to tend so we dropped those girls off and headed back up Wednesday night after more dance and work.

Then for a couple days we did the lazy Bear Lake stuff, sleeping in, TV and movie watching, puzzles, games and family search for me.
With only a little bit of sun mixed in with the other stuff!

Shane came up Friday night @ brought Kate with him and the Astle's joined us Saturday morning for fun times @ the beach.

and a late lunch @ Zipz.
It was super short day with them but lots of fun!!
It's always more fun when the Astle's are there!

We cleaned up and came home Sunday morning.  These two looked awfully cute in their "matching dresses" that weren't planned.  We love having Kate with us.  She's easy going and fun to have around!!

June was filled with lots of stuff...

Shane worked on the Boise,

Meridian,

and new Layton Temples.

These kids had a fun playdate @ the Whittier Center before the Reunion.

Mia is awfully lucky to have an aunt like Lydia who plays dress-ups with her. haha

Saige & Keaton had us over for ice cream to welcome Tara and Rendell when they arrived from Texas.  Their new house is so pretty!! I'm so happy for them!

I did some quilting in June.
This was a quilt for my girl Melanie's B-day.

Speaking of Melanie... anytime I get lunch with Mel and Shelb is a GREAT day!!

There were a few baptism appointments @ the Logan Temple in June for Lydia and Jadyn.
I'm so grateful for my girls' great friends!
Plus their sweet sister Saige who we saw lots more of during the summer with her off school!

Dinner @ Stacked.

"Checking in" @ the Annex before Kenna's big day.

and a 4-wheeler ride with Andy, Elle and Clara.

There was Father's Day...
which happened to land on the 18th...
my birthday.
It's NOT my favorite when that happens since it means the Father's get the break and I don't. haha
But I'm grateful for my girls who make things so much easier helping bring stuff to everything!

We went to the Little Mermaid and REALLY enjoyed it.

June.
It's one of my very favorites.
This year especially the weather was perfect, it felt pretty "spring like" till almost the end of the month.

People were complaining that we "needed summer".
But then they're also the same people who complained about the "heat wave" we have been having before July was even over.

I don't know about you but July seemed like "the normal summer" everyone was bawling about in June. haha

Thanks for a great one June!
