Los Cabos Mexico 2021

For Shane's Birthday back in January I gave him a trip to Cabo with our friends.

Then our sister-in-law Kayce approached everyone about a "back packing trip to Yellowstone" she wanted to do in August.

Nothing about it sounded fun to me or the rest of the girls haha... but Shane and Lydia committed to go.

It was a lottery, so there were several dates it could be, and one of them fell over the Cabo trip.

And... you guessed it that's the one they drew out for.

So Shane canceled his flight to Cabo.

He assumed I would too... but instead I talked to Deon, who's husband was fishing in Alaska (which is why they weren't coming) who was more than happy to join me as my roommate.

What a great, refreshing, relaxing, fun time we had together.

Not a bad view to wake up to.

The food was great!  All the restaurants (except for the breakfast buffet) were sit-down restaurants.  I'm not a big buffet girl so that was fine with me.

but...

Kenna would not have liked that part... because it meant there was NOT an endless supply of chips and guac @ buffets that run 18 hours a day. haha

And Lydia would have been sorely disappointed at not having ice cream 10 times throughout the day.

There was still the endless supply of fruity drinks from the bar throughout the day though!

We spent a good chunk of time hanging out by the pool and beach.
It was hot... and super humid.

But totally worth it!

Check out that creepy iguana watching me. haha

Lisa had booked us a fun excursion with "Cabo Adventures" on a catamaran with two snorkel sites.

The first morning in Cabo we were picked up at our resort and taken to the site where we got all checked in.  Then they told us that the Harbor Master wasn't letting any boats out that day because the water was too choppy.

(Apparently the weather was terrible before we got there.)

So we rescheduled for two days later... and then the night before that tour was also cancelled.

Instead we decided to head into town for shopping.  While we were there we were bombarded with offers to go out on the water to see "Lands End" so we did it.

(this was the same day our second tour was canceled.)

But funny thing... the catamarans we booked were also out on the water filled with people.  So we have no clue what was going on there .haha  Our only guess is that since they'd had to reschedule so many people... maybe they ended up overbooking and since we had a discount they cancelled us???

Fish pedicures are always a good time. hahaha

All in all this 5 day weekend was perfect.
I'm so grateful for good friends,
good conversations,
good food,
good clean fun,
good weather,
good health
and good memories.

Thanks for letting me tag along!!
