Kenna's Graduation 2021

Kenna is a Green Canyon Alumni.

Gosh that went fast!! 

The whole week was full of Graduation activities.

Including "Senior Sunset" and two days of "Graduation".

The first day was "Diplomas with Dave"... last year because of Covid this tradition was started.  A chance for parents/grandparents to come and see their graduate walk across the stage in a 6 hour time frame to allow for social distancing.

This year they kept that tradition, but as the school year came to an end and more restrictions were relaxed they planned a graduation at the football stadium with "just the graduates".  

Then after much coaxing from the students... the parents of the graduates were invited.

This was a regular graduation with speeches and walking across the stage on the field.

The weather was beautiful and the evening couldn't have been more perfect.

Yes, Graduation was different than previous years... but who could complain after missing the last 2.5 months of school last year??!!

Dave Swenson has been such a great principal and example to our girls.

The night of graduation they headed back to the school for fireworks on the field and to watch their Senior Video...

And then in the middle of the night this happened.

Kenna wasn't there for much, but 4 hours of moving cinder blocks changed the valley view the next morning.

I was concerned at first.

Until I found out they got permission from the owner of the land. haha

Sky View wasn't very happy about the whole thing...

and had it changed back by mid-morning.

But as far as a Senior pranks go... this was a pretty awesome one.

I can't believe more than half of our girls have graduated from High School.

Time... please slow down.
