May looked like this.
We went sledding...
Yes in May.
It was Shane's idea to head up Logan Canyon to "the sinks" for our last sledding experience of the year. (Although ironically it was pretty much our first sledding experience of the season. hahaha)
We met with Jeff and Kimi's Family on Old Main Hill for a picnic one Saturday.
May was the month that things started to look a little more normal in our world.
And we were all ready for it!
And we were all ready for it!
We took an online Watercolor class.
We did more organizing and decorating.
I printed more than 500 Scrapbook Pages...
Nothing gets me more excited than that!
Lydia learned to hold her bunny ;)
That's big stuff!
We had fun with cousins.
These girls painted...
a few times...
Lydia opened a massage shop... "The Zone."
We went on family walks.
There was chalk art...
and Karie Ann's...
Mother's Day was the first get together that my parents had come to since the start of Covid-19.
We were so happy to spend a beautiful Sunday together.
We had an amazing Sacrament meeting together, enjoyed yummy food and had a great time together.
We spent a week in Park City @ The Sweetwater Lift Lodge.
Just hanging out and using a cheap exchange week through our timeshare.
A lot of things were closed in Park City.
No pool was available.
But most of the stores in the outlets were open.
We did puzzles, watched movies and spent time together.
Tayler and Jaden made it up for the weekend.
They all crafted jewelry holders..
I quilted...
Sunday my Mom and Dad came up since it was Memorial Day Weekend.
We had Sacrament meeting together and then headed to Midway.
It was so fun to be able to spend the day with my mom telling us all about her grandparents and her family memories.
My girls will always remember that day.
My girls will always remember that day.
We visited the Midway Cemetery.
This is my Great Grandparents house (that my mom still owns).
It's right across the street from the "Town Square".
It's not in "livable" condition.. but it's there.
There were face masks.
Bunkbeds...
and yummy food all week...
One day we visited Hogle Zoo.
It was different than any other time we've gone to the Zoo.
A timed entry needed to be booked online, there was a set way that we could walk inside the zoo, it was so empty... but we had a great couple of hours together.
We wished Kenna could have been with us more this week, but she had cheer practice each morning.
Since it was the first week the kids were able to go back for any school activities we couldn't complain too much!
A to-go lunch at the Park Cafe in SLC and then back to Park City.
Kenna and Shane made it back up for the last night... and some craft time.
We checked out a day early from our resort and headed to Provo Canyon to visit Bridal Veil Falls.
Then on to "Provo Beach" for a great game of Laser Tag.
We were pretty much the only ones in the entire place.
It was awesome!
A little shopping and then we went to a golf simulation place in SLC..
Then dinner at Popeye's on the way home.
What a great week!
My favorite news of the month of May... was that these two started dating.
They're perfect for each other!
Keaton Horman is the kindest guy we know... and the fact that he lives .2 miles from our house makes things pretty convenient for them.
Thanks May!
