Shane had a "one day job" at the Oahu Visitors Center.
He needed one helper, so he picked Jaden.
(I think he killed him Jaden in that one day and he may NEVER want to do carpet with him again...)
But I got to have Tayler there with me... so it was worth it for at least Tay and I. ;)
It was a pretty quick trip we left on Thursday October 31st and came home Tuesday November 5th... but we had a great time.
We enjoyed sunsets like this.
Ate delicious food.
We never would have guessed that "Carols' Cookin" had the best rated breakfast on the island. haha
It was pretty great by the way.
Tayler signed us up for a swim with the sharks (in a cage) tour.
It was awesome!
It was the third time I've swam with sharks... I'd still take that over petting a dog. ;)
We saw a huge pod of dolphin on the way out.
What a crazy surreal experience!
We visited the Dole Plantation Plant.
Spent lots of time on the beach.
Ate at Banzai Bowls
Rented Kayaks to paddle out to Chinaman's Hat.
What a beautiful day!
Even if Shane and I don't paddle well together + he dumped me on the rocks. haha
PS it doesn't look all that tall or steep... but the fact that we hiked to the peak was a plus on the cool scale for me.
We visited Matsumoto's twice... and I wish we'd got there a third time!
Oh, and the best part of our Motsumoto visits...
Shane asked Mr. Mosumoto himself... for a selfie with him. hahahahaha
We went through a session at the Temple one night.
With the time change and an 8 PM session we barely made it out awake.
But I loved it!
Our last morning we ate here... Tita's at the Polynesian Cultural Center Restaurants.
We met THE nicest guy.
Who hooked us up with his delicious food a free loaf of Polynesian bread and Coco rice for all of us.
He's also a famous football player.
With a big display in the Polynesian Football Hall of Fame.
Junior Ah You.
And he gave us four free tickets to the Polynesian Cultural Center and Show... they're like $100 each.
We were doing our canoeing that day but hurried over after we were done for a few hours at the PPC.
Sadly we had to give our tickets away for the show that night to catch our flight home, but we had such an awesome time. What a great guy!!
It was short and sweet and jam packed with lots of sun and fun!
Thanks for taking care of our girls at home Saige!
Hawaii is my idea of paradise.
