China 2019 Shanghai Disneyland...

Let's be real.
When the girls found out we were going to China there was one MAIN thing they were excited about...

SHANGHAI DISNEYLAND

So you can imagine that they were super excited when I booked the Toy Story Hotel for us to stay at for 2 nights.

Since our first hotel (Novotel Shangahi Clover) had a shuttle to Disneyland we were able to haul all our luggage and walk across the parking lot to our next hotel.

It was cute, and my girls couldn't have been happier.
Now Shane and Jaden... I think they weren't quite as impressed. ;)

We ate dinner in "Disneytown" @  Cheesecake Factory that night... cuz what says China more than Cheesecake Factory?!? Haha

Everyone was up and going the next am and anxious to get in for our "magic hour" we had a blast all day.  What a surreal experience being in China @ Disneyland!!

The castle is gorgeous, we took a "few" pictures in front of it...
and behind it...
and from every angle.

Toy Story land was of course adorable.
But no slinky dog dash like at Holleywood studios. :(

We found a few characters but for the most part didn't wait in many lines for them.  Just the ones Lydia and Jadyn didn't have their book signed from. Yay!

The flowers and scenery was beautiful.

We had a blast all day.
Crowded, but not too crowded!

We ate yummy "american" food.

This donut...
not yummy.  Saige had read reviews that we HAD to get them.
Luckily we only got one.
Pretty much bread with nasty frosting. hahaha

Mickey bars were a must.
Not nearly as good as the real deal.
But lots of flavors to choose from.

We almost forgot we were in China.
Except that we couldn't understand what anyone said.
And there were alot of people taking pictures of us...
Lydia kept saying, "mom, why is everyone staring at me??"

The cast members made flower/leaf petal displays around.
I kept thinking people had brought their own for pictures and I was very confused.
Still am... just a little.

We REALLY wanted a picture with Mulan.
Cuz Mulan... China they totally go together right?
Nope, no where to be found.
We asked SEVERAL workers and guess what they had no idea who Mulan was...
Weird.

We found her in the parade though. ;)

One thing Shanghai Disney does not do well.
Fireworks.
"The happily ever after show" is Saige's favorite.
She cries every. time.
I don't think she did in China. hahaha

Another funny thing is that Chinese people are afraid of fast rides.
Tron... well it's the best ride at Disneyland.
But the line for Astro Orbitors next to it was 4 times as long.
What!!??!!

The line was so short + so fun we went on Tron 4 times in a row!!

You ride it like you're on a motorcycle. It's a blast!

We had a great day.
A couldn't have been better day.

The next morning we woke up and had Donald Waffles at the hotel

Then headed out on our first "actual" Chinese adventure day...
