Picture December 22nd and a cute little 8 year old asking when we can get her birthday party invitations done.
The absolute last thing that this mama wants to do on the week before Christmas is to plan another party... that doesn't involve Christmas. We had decided on the theme and a date/time of her party, but I assumed every other mom would remember this party better AFTER Christmas as well.
So I told her that she could ask me on the morning of the 26th to make her invitations, and not one day before.
When the morning of the 26th came, Lydia brought me this...
is that not the most darling invitation ever? I immediately texted it out to all her friends moms!
I love that she took the initiative to do it herself.
I love that she came up with the Mickey's 90th part (we had just talked about a Mickey party.)
I love everything about it!
Her birthday came on December 29th.
(A big thanks to her big sisters Jadyn and Kenna for helping with the decorations and games.)
We had lots of yummy food.
This was her cake + we ate other donuts + a Mickey Waffle bar.
They were thoroughly sugared up by the end.
Lots of Mickey themed party games.
Fun gifts from all her cute little friends.
Her Mickey Party was a complete success!!
Other than the fact that my baby is nine... which I am still in complete denial of!
That night we went to Fredrico's as a family.
Mainly because I wasn't up for a meal at our house + this is what she chose.
She opened her family presents and we lit her cake right there is the restaurant.
And she was super happy about it, so win win!
HAPPY HAPPY BIRTHDAY MISS LYDIA!!!
I'll love you more than you'll ever know.
But if you could stop growing up so fast I would appreciate it!
