September 2017

September... seemed to fly by!!

We spent Labor Day @ Bear Lake this year.

We had a great afternoon boating with Shane's friend Brad Nelson.
He has one seriously nice boat...

We had a great time on a perfect, "above average temperature" day.

Shane and Joe were naturals.

Sadly, we have done quite a disservice for our girls. ;)
This was actually only the SECOND time that our girls have ever been on a boat...
our girls aren't the bravest at adventurous sports.
There may have been some tears and slight freak outs, but they all tried it. hahaha
(I didn't even try (haha) so it's pretty obvious where our girls got their lack of adventurous sports trait from...;))

It was a wonderful afternoon + a fabulous weekend.

Shane spent time in Minnesota this month working on the Minneapolis Temple.
He got to see Andy, Missy & Elle + Shelly and Logan.

While he was gone I drove these cuties down to Station Park to "Build-a-Bear" for National Bear Day.
Apparently these three have never been to Build-a-Bear either, {gasp} ;) we used to take Tayler and Saige ALL the time.  Now that those two have moved out the younger three remind me of LOTS of things we've never done. hahahaha
We had a fun evening together!

Saturdays were filled with volleyball matches for Jadyn.
(Look how tiny she is).

And soccer games for Lydia.

One day while volunteering @ Lydia's school I saw her getting in her "locker" and it cracked me up.
She can hardly reach it, but was so proud to show me that she could!
Cedar Ridge was converted from a middle school to an elementary this year so they took the combinations off the lockers but let them still use them for their coats/backpacks.

Tayler cuts Shane's hair for him now....
and Lydia does the cleanup. ;)

Jadyn had her scoliosis appointment at Shriners.
Her curve is increasing but nothing too bad yet, we're crossing our fingers.

It's been fun  having Kenna be the "oldest" at home now. I love that girl!!

She's been having fun @ Green Canyon.
Still so strange that she is a freshmen, but so happy for her!

Jadyn got a Disney Princess cookbook for her birthday and Lydia and Jadyn have been begging to make stuff.
They each picked a "meal" (which included about 5 items) to prepare for us on their own night.
They loved it! So fun to see them so proud of their work
And the food was pretty great too...
(gosh it sure takes a long time having them do it all. :()

I got to take Tayler, Kenna and Jadyn down to the conference center for the Women's Broadcast.

We had a fun time together in the rain... hahaha

speaking of rain...
we had this brilliant idea to drop Lydia and Shane off at Lagoon for a few hours while we went to the broadcast.

I think we got the better deal sitting in the Conference Center, cuz four hours in the cold and rain at lagoon does NOT sound like a good time to me. ;)
They were good sports! haha

Saige is doing awesome in Connecticut.
We miss her... but then we face-time with her for a minimum of an hour per day, meaning we probably see/talk to her more than we would if she was here!

She spent Labor Day with her nanny family in...

She took Coda into the city by herself to visit her mom @ Fox studios for a baby shower for Abbey Huntsman (another news broadcaster).

That was an exciting day for her to be there and see the "behind the scenes" of Fox news.

She loves Jackie and gets along so great with her!

A Saturday in NYC with her friends.

She adores those girls.
They are pretty lucky to have our Saige!

She seems to be getting along just fine there. ;)

September flew by too quick!!
