Maui Part 2...

 Maui is beautiful.
End of story!

We spent this morning waiting for a delicious breakfast at the Gazebo.
The best white chocolate macadamia nut pancakes I've ever eaten.
And the fried rice... it doesn't seem like it would be good for breakfast,
but it was good enough that we waited in line for over an hour for a table... twice!

Back to the beach...

I wasn't super comfortable with the little ones boogie boarding here. haha

But then I wasn't super comfortable with Shane, Tayler and Saige jumping off big rocks into the ocean either!
At the same time I was proud of them for daring to,
because it made for some great pictures!!

Kenna did some of her own tricks... a little closer to the ground.

Pool time, if you notice that the pool looks different from day to day,
we may or may not have done some pool hopping haha
Just checking them all out to see where we'd want to stay next time. ;)

A night at the Old Lahaina Luau.
Definitely the best Luau I have been to.
We had such a great night!

Traditional seating on the ground. :)

A little sprite toast...

A whole bunch of sweet drinks...

And super giggly girls.
The male dancers were pretty much wearing loin cloths...
these two were DYEING!!

A positively. fantastic. memorable. evening!

We were greeted with a baby gecko on our door when we got back to the resort.

Saige was NOT pleased when "baby gecko" got away in our kitchen hahaha
But not to worry, we found him a couple days later and returned him to his family. :)

A morning of surf lessons proved to be one of the girls favorite activities of the week.

Their instructor with "Royal Hawaiian Surf Academy" Tavner.
He was fabulous with them.

I was so proud of them ALL for "catchin' some waves."
Their Poppa was pretty proud of them too.
I emailed him some pictures and he wrote back that it, "brought a tear to an old surfers' eye to see his girls surfing."

Definitely a perfect way to start the morning.

These 6 proudly wore their tats from the Luau the night before.
I never thought about it, but when we removed them later in the week a permanent tatoo "tan line" was left on some of them... haha mainly Jady, that was funny!

Breakfast at "Slappy Cakes".
The little ones thought that making their own pancakes was pretty fun.
The older ones loved the banana bread french toast.
Yum.

A drive up to the Nakalele Blowhole.
We brought our hiking shoes and took a little jaunt down to it,
it wasn't blowing much, but it was fun to see.

More beach time.

Turtle sightings. :)

Dinner @ PI pizzeria.

And ending the day with Macadamia nut ice cream.
At least for the older few.
I can't remember what these guys got, probably something lame like chocolate chip haha
