Thanksgiving weekend, after the tree and decorations were all up.
We headed to Salt Lake.
Stopped at a couple of stores and tried to pound out our Christmas list.
I thought we did a pretty good job.
But no matter how hard I try to "prepare early", some how every year I am still running to this store and that until Christmas Eve.
I've decided it's called "Life".
I should just embrace it.
We went to City Creek with the sole purpose of getting a picture with "Santa".
We were excited to see that there was no line.
Then realized that there was no line because you had to make a reservation...
We could have got in an hour later, but there was no outside photography allowed and it was $25 for a 5x7.
We passed.
And shopped a little more instead.
Then bundled up for the lights.
Which was also the plan for about 1/2 of Utah.
It was CROWDED!
A pretty warm, enjoyable night though.
Stopped for this picture. :)
Saige was super excited for the "free hug".
Tayler not so much...
Saige pointed out that Tayler has a guy... so she gets hugs...
Saige doesn't... so no hugs.
Then she dragged her sister back to these strangers because she was not going to miss out!
We all had a good laugh about the whole thing!!
We then hurried to the Energy Solutions Arena to watch the USU/BYU game.
Cheered super loud for our Aggies.
And cried a little when BYU came out on top...
Hurried to our hotel (perks of Shane traveling... free hotel nights every once in a while. :))
Sunday morning we went to the Conference Center for Music and the Spoken Word.
Such a fun thing to do as a family.
Shane had to take Lydia to the "theater" since she wasn't old enough.
Such a great way to start the Christmas Season.
Beautiful music... and a wonderful message.
We decided to stay for a tour of the Conference Center.
It was thorough.
More than an hour.
But super informative and interesting.
I'd recommend it. :)
Classic example of Lyida in this next pic.
She's obviously had her feelings hurt and stomping off from her sisters.
She's a diva...
but a super cute diva. :)
It was a great weekend.
One to remember.
I love me some good family time!
