Virginia... Part 2

So we loved the historical part of Williamsburg...
But the real fun was had at Busch Gardens and Water Country USA.
I actually scored a great deal by purchasing tickets ahead of time...
a 7 day pass to Busch Gardens, the water park AND Williamsburg including parking was $89 for adults...  considering that Disney World offers their 1 day hopper for $90.53 {gasp} - having it for 7 days wasn't a bad deal.

we spent 1 1/2 days at Busch Gardens...

Having all kinds of fun...

And riding lots of crazy scary rides like these...
Kenna braved "The Loch Ness Monster"...  I thought she might pee her pants she was so scared...  But actually she wasn't scared until we were right at the gate and Shane took a picture while I told her that yes we would be going upside down on the ride!
Doesn't she look excited!

That was kind of a mean mom thing to do I know but she liked it enough to go again the next day. :)  Even if she did say "I can't do this" over and over and over again the whole first ride through!

But the tidal wave she didn't try twice...
(zoom in on that face!)
Then there was this bad boy,
the GRIFFIN

My brave, fearless hubby who loves all things roller coaster like and usually has his arms high in the air on all the rides that I am holding on for dear life on... definitely met his match on this chunk o' steel.

And when Tayler, Saige and Shane got off and we looked at the pictures they sell from the ride, I decided two things.

1.  I was NEVER going on that ride
AND
2.  We were forking out the $20 bucks to buy that picture.

Because my fearless hubby looked like one nervous little boy!
(Tayler and Saige don't look like they are enjoying it that much either!)
Of course Shane and Saige both LOVED it...
Tayler told us she was never doing that again.
.... and that I would HATE it!!
But my 2 bravies Shane and Saige jumped right back on.
(And we picked about the perfect time to be at Busch Gardens because the lines were never more than 5 or 10 minutes!)

On a calmer note we got to meet fun characters like...
Except not very calm for Jadyn.
I don't know about you, but Elmo doesn't seem that creepy to me...
just sayin'...
Then oddly, later she wanted this bird to jump on her hand...????
I was glad that it didn't because I don't think she REALLY would have liked that.
She did pet this cute little lamb though. :)
Lydia loved the whole experience too and pretty much refused to close her eyes for a nap... in fact she would hold on to the tray on her stroller and fight to keep her eyelids open before she finally conked out.

She's cute.
we like her.
a lot!

And this is the cheese that she gives when ever the camera points in her direction...
but only for 1 second so I have to be fast!
We had a blast together at Busch Gardens...
AND
an AMAZINGLY fun time at the water park!

The park was HUGE!!
We spent 3 - 1/2 days there and couldn't get to most things a second time.

Jadyn surprised us all by having no fears about water slides... except for maybe the landings. :)

This was her all time favorite slide...
All in all Water Country USA was just plain fun...
Lydia could have played in that fountain for hours it was hilarious!

Virginia was fantastic!  We didn't go more than 20 miles from our resort and there was so much more that we wanted to do but just not enough time!

On June 18th I woke up to this...

Thanks sweet family it couldn't have been a better way to spend my birthday... the whole day with my favorite people!
And then just like that our vacation was over...
... and we were all completely exhausted from all the fun. :)

Man it looks like you guys had a blast! I sure wish we could have joined you. Although I'm not sure all those rides would have sat well with me right about now but on a normal day, I would have loved it! I LOVED the faces from the rides. Pretty dang funny. Glad you guys had a good time.
