...Just spent the last 45 minutes rescuing my baby from the bathroom.
It goes like this...
I walk out, she shuts the door...
then proceeds to pull out the bottom drawer...
The one that is heavy and filled to the brim with bars of soap so that when it is all the way pulled out it sortof settles down and needs to be lifted up a little to close it...
At first it was kindof funny... except for the fact that I knew she would be trying to crawl BEHIND the toilet... Nasty and disgusting even if there is nothing visible...
So I sit outside the door telling my 11 month old to lift up the drawer and close it...
Why doesn't that child listen to me??
20 minutes pass and she isn't having quite as much fun anymore... like pretty much panic crying.. so I start searching for random items to try. Tried about 20... then finally grabbed my trusty Cutco butcher knife the one with the REALLY sharp point and STAB it into the side of the drawer. (Praying that my babies little chubby hand didn't try to grab it...)
And wallah... she was out... I picked her up... she rested her head on my shoulder and let out a big teary sigh... me too... minus the teary part!
Maybe I'll write a "testimonial" to Cutco... letting them know that their knife tips are strong enough to PICK up a drawer and save babies... that's far more impressive than the whole rope cutting demo don't you think??
