Jackson Fun...

Last weekend we were able to spend another fantastic weekend at the "Snow King" Resort in Jackson Hole in their "Love Ridge Condos". We had a great time and the weather was much improved over our earlier summer stay. It was great to just have a relaxing weekend... The girls went on the bungee jump a couple times each...

and rode the ski lift up for the alpine slide...
which they each did three times...

I hid my stomach once so I could take Jadyn... We didn't go very fast... but as you can see from the pic above... obviously faster than Saige!! (Sorry Saige!)
The best part of course was that all of the above was "comped" to us... for Shane's 2 hours of work. :) Totally worth it in my opinion!! :)

It was a fabulous weekend... And we sure appreciate Snow King's "hospitality" towards us!

I have been on a clean-out, organize spree. Going through cupboards and drawers, organizing recipes, cleaning out the fridge, scouring the house for things to go to the DI and sell on KSL etc. I'm going on 3 weeks of this craziness and hope it lasts... because there is... MORE...TO...DO!

On that list was "room swaps" for the girls. We decided to move Kenna to the spare room upstairs, Jadyn into Kenna's old room and keep Jadyn's room for the new little one... so this week has been busy for mainly ME (minus Shane for heavy lifting and building of the boxes for the wall... which turned out AWESOME! :)) I showed Kenna about 5 different bedding sets and she said she liked this one the best. But... she didn't know for sure which one I got... and we kept the door closed and her out until it was almost all done before we showed her. She loved the end result. And if I do say so myself it turned out FANTASTIC...

Of course now Tayler and Saige feel "deprived" because their rooms aren't getting done. hahaha...!!
Speaking of Tayler... the poor girl came into our room at 5:45 AM this morning to say prayers before heading to the bus. I jumped up wondering why I hadn't heard my alarm and then realized she was up an hour early. The poor kid wasn't very happy that somehow her clock was set an hour fast... Since the bus actually comes at 6:45... I promised her it "wasn't me"... I mean I might do that on April Fools... but not just a regular day!!

Jady's off to school too...

Couldn't you just eat that little thing up!! She is such a cutie and she looks so stinkin' little... but she went to her first day of PRESCHOOL today! I'm still not sure how I feel about that... I have always done a neighborhood group 2 years before school and then sent them somewhere for the year before school. But my great friend Shelby runs a preschool now... so I decided to send her and I was seriously sad! I went to lunch with Shane during it... and I really wished she was with us! She did good... wasn't too excited about going either though. She just kept asking me if I would stay with her. This look pretty much says to me, "Mother I know you are standing by the door because you are going to leave me here... so just leave already!"
She didn't have much to say about school. But when I asked her if she wanted to go back she said, "Nah, I had enough." Hmmmmm.... I guess we will see. :)

This morning I spent more time peeling and cutting peaches to freeze. Can you believe this little tree gave us around four bushels of delicious juicy peaches. We all love them!! I still have lots of bottled peaches from last year so I decided to try freezing them. I hope they are good that way... because I think I did about 24 quarts!!

Last night was so much fun. My good friend Gina was in town after a three year experience in Ireland... preceded by years in Kosovo... Baghdad... D.C. and who knows were else. She is hard to keep track of! But we were so excited to be able to get together for a BBQ at Shelb's house. With our group of four awesome friends and our families. Melanie, Shelby, Gina and me

We reminisced about our Middle School/High School days and had fun looking at old pictures and catching up. We also marveled at the 14 kids we had there with us... How times have changed.
I forgot my camera... and Shane... not too impressed with your camera phone quality. :) But it's all I've got!

Here we were back in the day...
We had one of those amazing friendships that I hope my girls find with their friends too! (O... Mel and Shelb it looks like you guys didn't get the message that is was black and white day this day!! hehehe)
It was a great night and we look forward to doing it again when our little "world traveler" friend is around!

...Speaking of back in the day... A lady called me last week looking for a LHS Cheerleading Outfit for her daughter to borrow. Apparently the girls are supposed to wear different years' outfits for the upcoming Homecoming Game. I informed her that I did drillteam not cheerleading... then I tried not to chuckle when she told me that she needed to find a "vintage" cheer outfit and she didn't know anybody else that might have one. Really...."vintage".... ?????? Somehow I have never thought of what I wore in the early 90's as being "vintage" definitely not the style I would wear now of course... but hopefully not "vintage" yet either! :)
