July was a great month...
there was our week in Breckenridge
+ 10 days in Bear Lake!
There weren't ANY church camps, retreats, EFY's etc.
And I loved that I had my kids all to myself... for the most part haha
Bear Lake was mainly filled with me, Lydia and Jadyn. But there were nights Shane came up and times Saige and Kenna made it up...
It pretty much looked like this.
Lots and lots of puzzles,
movies,
sun and shakes.
Kenna celebrated her 17th Birthday and had a couple friends up.
Kenny please slow down. :(
Also look at that great cake Jady made!!
Oh and there was some sun in those 10 days...
;););););)
Besides Bear Lake.
July brought us Tayler's 23rd Birthday.
We celebrated late with a BBQ and this yummy cake by Jady.
I made Tay this quilt. (heart eyes)
I also got this one finished.
and this one...
and this one.
We finally got to meet Josh and Kayla's darling baby Zoey.
Thanks for the BBQ guys.
We've missed you!
Kenna finally had her postponed stunt cheer clinc.
One day, Kenna had this crazy idea to have...
"Outside Day."
Outside day was to consist of all of our outside toys and games that we never get around to.
So we set up the pool (the one that we haven't used for like 10 years, and it has been a hit almost every day since), the water slide, borrowed a big slip and slid from a friend, pulled out the badminton and guinea sacks from Tayler's 7th Birthday Pary etc. etc.
Except first Kenna smashed her thumb between two weights after working out with Saige that morning.
We were leaving for Colorado that night.
So we paid a visit to Instacare.
It wasn't broken.
But it's still sore 6 weeks later so obviously something was damaged that just takes time to heal.
Poor Kenny. :(
Kenna and I were a few minutes late to "Outside Day"...
but it still happened.
Just for your info...
If you read on the internet that you can use watered down food coloring to tie-dye... you can.
That is if you don't wash them.
Because our shirts came out COMPLETELY white! hahaha
So either I"m good at laundry? Or food coloring doesn't work?
We all agreed that "Outside Day" will now be an annual family tradition.
(Minus the instacare visit!)
This is Kenna's friend Maloree.
Her reception was the one we stayed home a day from Colorado for.
It was worth it.... it was super gorgeous!
We headed back up to Bear Lake for a night to celebrate Jadyn's 14th Birthday with some of her sweet friends. She had such a great weekend!
Thank you Mom and Dad!
It was the night of the 24th... we were sad to miss fireworks at Elkridge Park from our backyard.
But there were plenty to enjoy @ Bear Lake.
The rest of the family came up with us the next morning + cute Kate.
After cleaning up at Bear Lake we hurried home and had a BBQ with all of us + Grandma and Papa.
Then later that night there was a drive-in movie at Jaden's hangar.
Thanks Tayler for setting that all up and helping to make Jady's day so special!
This time it was Lydia's turn to make the cake for Jady.
She did a fabulous job!!
One night Saige and Keaton took Kate and Lydia for a Karie Ann's date.
Saige says that both of those girls were giddy all night.
and oh boy... Saige has a crush too.
There's still lots of kids coming to visit "grandma's house" haha
Kenna and Saige always have at least one little child they're tending.
I provide the popsicles so they'll like me... except when I sprayed Beckett and now he says... "she's not very nice." OOPS! :(
Kenna went camping with her friends in Goblin Valley for a few days.
They had a blast and made it back safe! phew!
Also hit Kenna up if you need your nails done.
She rocks at it!
There were plenty of times in that pool we haven't pulled out for years.
And lots of fun times with Megan who lived with us this summer!
There was also a visit from Elle.
The get-out Utah pass we bought last year has had us doing lots of fun stuff.
This day Saige and Keaton drove Megan to SLC for her friends' bachelorette party.
So all these cuties tagged along, they stopped in Layton for Sea Quest and then on to Murray for laser tag. Totally free with the pass for all of them, they had a blast.
We re-tie-dyed our shirts.
And the second round worked MUCH better than the first!
(Also it wasn't easy to find tie-dye... Tie-dye, chalk and swimming pools were the items sold out all Summer!)
July was hot and awesome! What a great summer... even if it's weird!
