April was a SUPER weird month.
(Secretly my dream month... )
But definitely unforgettable for all of us.
There was homework...
Lots and lots and lots of homework.
I'm so grateful that my girls were good at doing it on their own everyday.
I could never be a homeschooler..
but with kids like mine who did it on their own I guess I could!!
But a big thanks to all of their teachers.
I'll be totally ready to sent them back in the fall!
hahaha
Saige finished her semester 3 weeks early! I was so proud of her for finishing those 14 credits... the truth is she would have REALLY struggled getting the same grades that she did if she hadn't come home from Orlando. Now Saige would add here that she would have traded good grades for Disney World, but...
It's funny how long this post it, because for not "doing much" we sure have a lot of pictures!
There was an awesome General Conference and then Easter.
And Sacrament Meetings at home started..
Sacrament meetings at home soon became my favorite, thanks to the willing participation of all of our girls.
There was A LOT of organizing and dejunking by ALL of us.
We even redid Lydia's room.
It went from this...
To this...
I love it... and so does Lydia, so WIN, WIN!
We had fun building all her new furniture.
+ how about that bed with the cubby holes... Shane built it for me and did a fantastic job!
PS that bed was HEAVY... Good thing we were all there to help!
We did pretty much everything together...
Family walks.
Chalk Art
(also chalk was as hard to find as toilet paper during the month of April)
"Phone Breaks" haha
Family dinners
+ dessert
These two cuties made us breakfast quite frequently.
The girls painted together.
We walked the Bonneville Shoreline Trail one evening.
Saige took these 2 on a photo shoot.
These cuties helped Tayler with her "Live" yoga class one evening for "The Studio".
Lydia got her "first round" of braces once orthodontic offices opened back up again.
and Jadyn got invisalign.
Kenna golfed with Joe one afternoon.
And spent time with Luke Olson... hahahahahaha
We thought Lydia broke her toe tumbling.
Well... truth is I thought she was being dramatic until it started looking like this...
OOPS.
But it healed up on it's own... phew.
Dance looked like this...
Zoom classes.
Our girls sweet young women's leaders did a parade.
I was sitting in Saige's window upstairs taking pictures and bawling like a baby.
Kenna came upstairs sobbing too. We had a little moment together about the weirdness of the whole social isolating experience. Then we pulled ourselves together and moved on...
This was Kenna's drawing of the whole experience. haha
One family night we talked about natural disasters/fires etc.
We decided to test out the "fire-ladders" we have in each of the upstairs rooms.
It only took 40 minutes to set it up...
and only Shane would climb down it.
So...
we all feel much more secure now.
hahaha
Kenna had cheer tryouts.
Very different tryouts than in years past.
The clinic was done via zoom and tryouts were 4 girls at a time on the track.
PS she made it... and we're all excited for another year.
We're all praying for a "normal" year!
I sewed A LOT.
Quilts mainly, but I did help out with the "project protect"... Utah wanted 5 million masks made for the healthcare industry. I only made 30, they were tougher than they look!
We spent a week at Bear Lake... doing not much.
But we did do a few puzzles.
haha
The girls painted more.
We had a lot of yummy shakes and Bear Lake food.
The ENTIRE family golfed at Bear Lake West.
What a fun day!
We had an all around fantastic time!
Thanks Mom and Dad
April was memorable for sure.
One we won't soon forget!
