Tayler and Jaden's Formals

My oldest baby is married.
It's super weird, but also strangely normal.
I mean I've always hoped she would find a guy as great as Jaden, and she did.
So obviously I'm extremely happy for both of them!

Last month they had their formals.
Which is sometimes referred to as "bridals" or "groomals" since the groom is there too...
because of the new "first look video tradition."
(Which is the wedding industries way to get us to spend more money ;))

All jokes aside it does make sense.
There isn't time on the actual wedding day to get 2 hours of awesome formal pictures.
+ you can't display any at the reception if there were more pictures crammed into that big day!

They drove down to the Salt Flats for these beauties...

I could add another 50 but I"ll stop with these. haha
We couldn't have been happier with how they turned out!

These two sisters joined them for the evening, along with Saige's friend Marissa who did the video.
(to be posted soon!)

Welcome to the family Jaden!!

Nauvoo April 2017

Wow this has been a crazy week for our family.
My mama heart strings have been yanked on.
HARD
The wedding friday (which turned out perfect by the way.)
And yesterday Kenna, Jadyn, Lydia and I dropped Saige off at the airport to fly to Connecticut all by herself...
for a whole year...
to be a nanny...
I'm still in disbelieve.
Gosh we're going to miss that girl!!!!

Before she left she finished the Nauvoo video, her first video.
She did a great job!
Thanks Saige!!  Hope you love this new adventure you are embarking on.

Tayler's Bridal Showers

If there is one thing that I have learned during this wedding process it is this.
We are blessed!
People are so sweet and generous to our family!
I am so grateful for the kindnesses in actions and gifts that have been showered on Tayler and Jaden.
It's amazing.

First off these two...

Kayla and Lisa.
Pretty much the most amazing around.
They threw a fabulous shower for Tayler.
It was in the upstairs of My Girlfriend's Quilt Shop.
Darling, elaborate decorations.
Delicious Food.
A Fun Hawaiian Theme.
60 of our favorite ladies.
Everything was absolutely perfect!

We can't thank you enough!!!
Thank you, Thank you, Thank you!!

(I could have added another 10 other pictures with beautiful ladies we all love too.)

The second shower was a ward shower thrown by Raquel Bushman and other neighbors at her house.

Sadly these were the only pictures I got all night.

But Miss Tay was spoiled at both showers that is for sure.
I need to pick up my generosity game!!

And how cute that Taitlin's mom brought her cardboard cutout so she could be there at the shower.
(Taitlin is Tay's bestie who is serving a mission in Texas ;))

Planning a wedding is busy.
But the shower part is absolutely amazing!!

June 2017

Besides Saige's Graduation, the dance review and our Family Reunion...

We filled up June with...

The last couple days of the school year.

I got to help with Lydia's field day.
 She had a blast.

I walked down to watch Jadyn in the 5th grade Championship Kickball game @ Elkridge.
Her class won out of the four 5th grade classes @ Greenville, so they played the championship game again the best 5th grade team from North Park.

Greenville came out the winners!!

Nice job Jadyn!!

(If you can't find her she's the little one on the left. I forget she's so short til I see her with all the other kids her age. hahaha)

We had a fridge full of amazing graduates.

Saige turned 18 the day after graduation.
A breakfast with me at Herm's was a must.

We visited my parents neighborhood lamb. haha

And everyone was happy to see cute Elle. (Missy and Andy of course too. ;))

Ice Cream after Dance Reviews for three nights in a row.

And tons of support each night!!

Jordan and Mesa's Wedding.
So happy for this cute couple.
There reception was at the American West Center and their sealing/luncheon was the day before.

How cute is this picture!?!

A "Trey" sandwich.

Afternoons swimming at the Sports Academy.

A drive up to Bear Lake for a day at the pool with the Astle's.

Then dinner @ Zipz so we could see our favorite little worker Saige.
(Who happens to love her zipz family more than her real family right now. She hardly even comes home!!) tear, tear, tear.

Sunday evening feeding the ducks at first dam.
(Over fed ducks by the time we were there. hahaha)

Have I mentioned that Lydia loves Jaden.
It's pretty funny, she's always nuzzling up to him.

Our fish of 2.5 years passed away. (finally)
Lydia received two fish as a gift from Collin Heaps on her 5th Birthday.
This one made it through his whole mission!
She was sad for about 1.5 seconds and then... oh well.

What would summer be without Lemonade stands?

People are so nice to my kids.
I sent them down with a gallon of lemonade.
And two hours later they came home with 1/2 a gallon of lemonade and $28!

Saige took these two to Lagoon for literally an hour.
But she took them to Zuppas so it was worth it.
Thanks Saige!

Then these four spent a few hours there a few days later.
(season passes are the best!)

Saige played in a fun golf tournament with these three.

Kenna and Shane spent a week @ Girls Camp up at Heber Valley.
It's hard to tell who enjoys it more.

While they were gone we went on a picnic with this cutie.

and had lunch @ Fredricos.

And these two, had plenty of fun this month too.

June flew by way too fast.

Funny thing is... I thought I'd been a dud of a mom this summer because I've been so busy with all the wedding plans. But putting this blog together is proof that we did at least a few fun things! ;)
