A Fabulously Fun Friend Weekend...

After looking forward to this weekend for quite some time it was finally here... and then of course over far too fast!

It started with 5 of us... me, Kim, Lisa, Deon and Raquel...  leaving bright and early Friday morning for Salt Lake... after being up until 3:30 that morning  finishing vinyl for a few people... I started out a little sleepy, but quickly recovered. :)  We went straight to the ABC 4 studios to be in their "studio audience" for "Good Things Utah".  We had a blast... and even had two seconds of fame when they showed us at a commercial break... feel free to ask us for autographs...

After that we headed to...

for lunch...  however I should have taken a picture to show that it was actually "5 girls and 50 guys".  Obviously a place that men go on their lunch hour because we were very out numbered. :)  But it was a seriously good burger and fabulous fries.

After our bellies were full we shopped...  and found fun stuff at Tai Pan and at South Town Mall.

Then being hungry again we headed to Park City for dinner at Baja Cantina where we were joined with two more friends... Debbie and Rachel.

After that fab meal we checked in to this sweet place...

in a gorgeous 3 bedroom condo, where we went right to bed....

NOT!

... we jumped on the furniture :), laughed and talked, played a game of cards, made far too much noise.
... and FINALLY went to bed @ 5 AM...

We woke up far to early the next morning.... to two sneaky friends crawling around in our room. :)

We all got ready...headed to a yummy breakfast @ "Kneaders".

And then tackled the Park City Outlets...

We shopped and shopped and were happy that we were able to get it all home. :)

And thankful to make it through the snowstorm we went through.

It was a fabulous weekend, full of fun laughter and friendship...

I've been thinking about friendship a lot lately.

I am blessed... truly blessed to have such wonderful friends.  I have been blessed all my life with good friends and my life would never be the same without each and every one of these special relationships.  They build me up, they listen when I need a listening ear, they make me want to be a better mother and wife, and they love me even when "I'm keeping it real" :).

My memories are full of family stuff, but also full of friends... some of those friend relationships have dwindled to only exchanging Christmas Cards each year...  but each relationship near or far has shaped my life.

I live in a great area full of women who build each other up...  I can think of at least 10 other ladies that I could spend a weekend with and have a ball with too.  And I am so grateful for that.  I hope that I can be the type of friend that my friends are to me... accepting, supportive, loving and fun.

I love you guys!!

A Peace offering...

Some husbands bring their wife flowers as a peace offering...
(After a heated fight discussion that I CLEARLY was in the right on)

Others try a different approach...

And after eating the entire bucket I feel much better...

It's now time to swallow my pride...
and let the whole world know that I'm awfully lucky to have him as a hubby...
(And that isn't just the sugar talking...)

*UPDATE*
After publishing this post, I went downstairs to find a dozen roses.  Cotton Candy AND flowers... yep he's a keeper.

Things I missed in October...

I missed posting about quite a bit actually...  And since we are well on our way into November now, I figured it was time to catch up!

We spent Conference Weekend at Bear Lake... doing pretty much nothing but lounging.  We did manage to get out some... we took a bike ride over to breakfast, played at the park lots, swam in the heated pool and were inspired by fabulous messages from Conference.

The girls were out of School Tuesday... so we let them sluff Monday and spend a few extra days at Bear Lake doing stuff like this...
We went up the canyon for family pics with a tripod and a remote.  Not an easy task, but we had  a fun time anyway...  What a beautiful day it was.

Later in the month we spent another 3 days at Bear Lake with friends for UEA... doing pretty much nothing again. :)  And having an awfully fun time at that!

When we weren't at Bear Lake Kenna had crazy hair day at her school...

The girls jumped in leaves... even if it wasn't very many leaves!

I missed an awful lot of sleep due to cutting vinyl for far too many people... and fyi if you are wanting vinyl before Christmas let me know before this Saturday... because after that I hope to be asleep before 2 or 3 each night.  Since I won't be taking anymore orders until the 1st of the year :).

We laughed a lot...

...and went to my favorite fall activity of all... the Pumpkin Walk...

It was a great month!

Carving Pumpkins

We had a fabulous Halloween Weekend, filled with all kinds of fun.  A School Carnival, Trunk-or-Treating at the Church, Trick-or-Treating in the cold rain, parties for Tayler and Saige and an Aggie B-ball Game too!

Of course we did this earlier in the week...

and thank heavens I didn't TOTALLY finish this scrapbook page the first night I started it.  Because then I would have saved it in the file "Scrapbook Pages Ready to Print"... and since I accidently DELETED THAT ENTIRE FILE last night.  Meaning I lost about 20 finished pages... unless by a miracle my computer genius brother can retrieve them from my external hard drive... please Andy oh, PLEASE!

The positive thing about it is... now that I've done them once I should have a pretty good idea of how I want them to look the 2nd time!  And I AM getting much faster at the whole digital thing.  It's o' so much fun, and I LOVED the results when I had them printed.  Here's hoping that I have my files back that are ready to be printed... and yippee for a late-night scrapbooking get together with my BFF Scrapbooking Friends this weekend!
